Charles E. Crews, 87 of Delaware, died Saturday morning June 12, 2010 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 26, 1923 in Beckley, WV to the late Arthur and Lemma (Lillie) Crews. A WWII US Marine Veteran and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Charles was owner and operator of Crews Industrial Catering and was known for preparing his own food for the trucks. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Along with his wife they enjoyed Spending the winter in Apache Junction, Arizona and hiking the mountains there. Charles would do anything for you and life with him had no dull moments.

Survived by his wife of 62 years: Margaret (Hetzer) Crews and they were married May 9, 1948 in Akron, Ohio; son: Kenneth (Joyce) Crews of Oakland, MD.; daughter: Carol (John) Rettger of Kingsville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother: Harold (Wanda) Crews of Huntington, WV.

Preceded in death by sons: Charles Jr., John; brothers: Eldridge, Paul.

Friends may call one hour prior to the Tuesday 1 p.m. service at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1450 Troy road, Delaware, Ohio 43015. Entombment will follow at the Kingwood Memorial Park. Arrangements in care of the DeVore-Snyder Funeral home, Delaware.
