Charles “Chuck” E. Judson, age 75, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital.  He was born on May 31, 1946, in Jacksonville, Ohio.  Chuck worked as a Mount Vernon Police Officer, was a seasoned Security Officer across the country, including working at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center and upon retiring, he enjoyed his time at the Certified gas station in Logan, Ohio.  His most recent volunteer service was security at their church.

Chuck was a member of the Covenant Christian Church in Mount Vernon where he was active in the men’s group and always enjoyed the card games and fellowship that they shared with each other.   He often talked of his years living in Arizona and his intrigue with the various Indian reservations he visited.  He also had a love for martial arts.

Chuck was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by his family and many friends.  He is survived by his wife Janice (Hall) Judson; his children, Dee (Gary) Hampton of Malta, Ohio, Tramp Stivison of Thornville, Ohio, David (Marie) Judson of Mount Vernon, John (Angela) Judson of Mount Vernon, Amy (Larry) Mullins of Circleville, Teri (Clint) Brown of New Straitsville, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends that he held very close to his heart.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Cox and a brother, David Judson.

A memorial service for Chuck will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, beginning at 12 pm at the Covenant Christian Church, 13360 New Delaware Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where friends may call from 10 am until the time of service.

  • Oh how Chuck will be missed at church seeing his smile and saying good morning to you when you enter the door. And I remember the nights at the card games when I played there I know he will be missed at them you could tell he enjoyed that as you seen the big smile he had on his face.And the love of the Lord he had in his life was so true and awesome. I remember first seeing Chuck at Kenyon when I worked the snack shop He was our security guard who walked out to the car with us at night when we closed. Also will miss seeing him as my good neighbor . Chuck was a great guy and will surely be missed.Huggs. You and family will be in my prayers
