Charles A. Price

June 11, 1947 ‒ December 14, 2018

Cardington, Ohio

Charles A. Price, age 71, of Cardington, passed away Friday evening, December 14, 2018, at his residence.

He was born on June 11, 1947, in Marion, OH, to the late Walter E. and Gladys M. (McGown) Price. Charles graduated from Northmor School and later went on to get many certifications in different welding techniques.

For many years, Charles worked for the H.P.M. Corporation. His main tasks were in welding but he also was able to operate all of the equipment there as well.

Charles was a lifetime member of the NRA and AmVets. Often he liked to root for the OSU Buckeyes and even supported the Green Bay Packers for his daughter-in-law. With a love of the outdoors, Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to cook of which his family enjoyed many of his meals. His love for a good debate often showed how stubborn he was as well. Charles loved meeting people and there was definitely never a dull moment when he was around. He will be remembered as a hardworking man with a good heart.

He will be dearly missed by his children: Glen W. (Missy) Price of Wooster, Lynn Kay (Wyatt Loy) Price of Mt. Vernon, and Christopher (Sharon) Price of Cardington; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Price of Johnsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ernie Price, Dorothy Simons, Roberta Green, and Bobby Price.

His family will greet friends from 11 to 1 PM, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel. 67 N. Main St., Mt. Gilead, OH 43338. A service to honor his life will be held there at 1 PM with Pastor Richard Prater officiating. Burial will follow in Bryn Zion Cemetery.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
