Chad D. Plummer, age 36 of Delaware died unexpectedly Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital from an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Columbus on August 12, 1981 and was a 1999 graduate of Delaware Hayes High School.  Chad worked as a part counterman for Washington Auto Parts.

Passionate about the Game of Thrones and his job, he was sports fanatic and fan of OSU football as well as the Cleveland sport teams.  He also enjoyed golf, Frisbee golf, and his favorite beverage. He possessed an outgoing personality, was outspoken, and always helpful. He treasured time spent with this nephew Drew, who called him Unc-Dad. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his mother Mary (Gail) Phelps, brother Michael Plummer (Susie Estep), nephew Drew, the Washington family, co-workers, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Darrell Ray Phelps, grandparents Ralph and Ethel Pittman, and uncles Steve Pittman and Wayne Phelps.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6th at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware, Ohio 43015.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

  • Gail, there are no words when we lose our loved ones that seem to help, but please know that JESUS is the one who will get you through these very hard sorrow filled days…I have called on HIM many times for many things as well as losing family members & HE always comes to comfort us even when we don’t realize it…we pray that GOD brings you & your family strength, comfort & peace.

  • Prayers and condolences for Chads family. I’ve known Chad 9 years. He was a co worker and a good friend, I can’t imagine your loss. He made everyone smile, laugh, and had a quick wit about him. He was very good at his job and all the employees, as well as customers here at Washington’s will miss him very much. He will be in our hearts for a lifetime. Again, prayers and condolences.
