Catherine Sue Frazier, age 67, of Mount Vernon died on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Mount Carmel Saint Ann’s Hospital in Westerville. She was born on July 1, 1946 in Jackson, to the late James and Frances (Burba) Mason.

Sue worked for the Country Court Nursing Home in the Housekeeping Department. She was an active member of the Victory Church of Christ.

Sue is survived by her husband, John Frazier Sr.; sons, John (Cassandra) Frazier Jr. of Mount Vernon and Mark (Sandra) Frazier of Fredericktown; grandchildren, Danielle (Chris) Sherman, Nicole Frazier, Kristen Frazier, and Kaitlyn Frazier; great grandchildren, Isabella and Gabriella Sherman; brothers, Robert (Latrica) Mason, John (Polly) Mason, Russell (Bert) Mason and James “Tex” Mason; sisters, Ann Cain and June Harber; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Mason.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Victory Church of Christ, 12470 Upper Fredericktown Rd., Mount Vernon where a funeral service will be held at Noon on Thursday, June 19, 2014 with Evangelists Tom Postel and Carl Snelling. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

    Your mom made an impact on so many. She did this by example. At work, at church and the majority on her kids. Right now Heaven is rejoicing that another one had Done Good. She will be missed and can never be replaced. The legacy she leaves will be shown through the lives of your Dad, You and your brother, and her grandkids.

  • My sister – I loved her so much and will miss her so very much more. Our monthly family lunches will not be the same without her. Her pain is over and God has received a very special angel.

  • I met Sue when we worked at Murphy’s Mart many years ago. We had a lot of laughs together. She was a dear sweet friend and I am sorry to hear of her passing. My thought and prayers are with her family.
