Carole Anne Bernard (Robinson) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on 6-10-2016.

Carole was born in Youngstown, Ohio to parents James and Florence (Honey) Robinson. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister in law, James and Donna Robinson.  Carole is survived by sister Karen (Mark) Cline of Wellsville, Ohio,  son Anthony J. Bernard and his husband Bryan Foss of Columbus, Ohio, Daughters Karen A. Brady and Amy J. Bernard of Delaware, Ohio, granddaughters Olivia Anne Kotanichek and Vivian Lynn Brady of Delaware, Ohio, lifelong friend William Ensley of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, son in law Edward Brady, and devoted care giver Brian Adams.

Carole was part of the very first graduating class from Austintown Fitch High School in 1969 in Austintown, Ohio.  Carole was employed by the Phar-Mor corporation and by Barnes and Noble and loved working with the public. Carole was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known to her grandchildren and loved ones as Goomie. Carole was a 5 time cancer survivor whose zest for life was unrivaled. She spent much of her time enjoying the outdoors.  She was a skilled fisherman and a state ranked female archer. Carole was also a gifted creator whose many hobbies included knitting, crafting, sewing, baking and cooking.

The family would like to thank all of the friends and caregivers who loved and supported them over the course of her illness. Goomie leaves a legacy of strength, perseverance, kindness, and love. She will be remembered as peaceful warrior with a kind heart and pure soul who enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m, in the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, (formerly 1510 West William Street), Delaware.
