Carol married Jan Pfeiffer and together they raised a family, made a home, and were partners through thick and thin for 55 wonderful years. Never ones to be far apart, her beloved husband Jan passed away 42 hours before Carol, they are once again together.
Her life centered on caring for the needs of others and her family. Before retiring from Friendship Village, she had also worked for several doctors’ offices and area hospitals.
A competitive roller skater in her younger years, she was a busy volunteer even in retirement at the St. Ann’s Hospital gift shop and delivering Meals on Wheels for LifeCare Alliance. She enjoyed chocolate, quilting, crafts, reading, travel, and working crossword puzzles.
She collected sweaters; fun ones loaded with bling. She had a passion for costume jewelry, flashy shoes, anything with glitter and rhinestones. Her family expressed that her “life was bedazzled”. Carol was a longtime member of the Church of the Messiah in Westerville.
