Carol L. “Buck” Fryman, age 84 of Sunbury passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Arbors of Delaware.

Born in Radnor on June 14, 1930, he was a son of the late Elmer and Mabel (Herd) Fryman. A graduate of Radnor High School in 1948, he then served in the US Air Force, stationed in Germany. He earned an accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati and retired from the Milk Market Administration where he served as an accountant.

After growing up on the family farm he continued a lifelong interest in agriculture. He was a member of the Radnor Congregational United Church of Christ, Prospect American Legion No. 368, Retired Federal Employees Association, and Hiram Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. No 18. Honest and congenial, he possessed a good sense of humor. He enjoyed people, the outdoors, a good meal and caring for his home. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed sports, especially following the OSU Buckeyes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Ruth (Free) Fryman, brother Robert (Mary) Fryman of Cocoa, FL, goddaughter Michelle Dell,  a niece, five nephews, and numerous grand-nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware where services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
