Carol Higgins, age 52, of Mount Gilead, passed away Sunday morning, June 28, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

On May 9, 1968, Carol was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, a daughter of the late Jesse H. and Carole Mae (Joseph) Ridenour.  She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1986.

Carol married the love of her life, Larry A. Higgins, on June 3, 1987.  They shared the last 33 wonderful years as husband and wife.

For many years, Carol worked in the Advance Auto Parts Warehouse in Delaware.

Carol was an avid reader and would often finish an entire book in one sitting.  She enjoyed doing puzzles, trivia and watching Sci-Fi movies.

Carol’s family was her entire world.  She cherished being with and taking care of her grandchildren.  She was so proud of her family and never hesitated to show off family photos.

Carol will be dearly missed by her husband, Larry; her three children: Jesse Higgins, Josie (Sean) Keefus, Jennifer Higgins; three grandchildren: Jesse II, Vivianne, Evelynn; and two sisters: Clara (Tom) Morlan and Wanda (David) Baker.

Memorial Services will be announced by the family at a later date.
