Carl R. Fields, 79 of Worthington, OH formerly of Marengo, OH died Thursday February 21,2017.

Born March 7, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of William J. and Audry Pearl (Reeder) Fields. Attended Clay High School and served 6 months in the US Army and was Honorably Discharged. Worked for 44 years at Bernie’s Garage and Body Shop in Clintonville.

Carl was an active member of the Masons where he became Master of his lodge Eastgate # 603/ Sunrise Lodge #783 and High Priest of the Scottish Rite, he was also member of Eastern Stars Lucasville Chapter #495 and was an Honorary member of the Kentucky Colonels.

He liked fishing, hunting and traveling, he loved his Old Milwaukee & Cheez-its. He loved to work with his tools and help others. He was a very proud Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.

He will be sorely missed by his Life’s Partner Tina Lapolla, Sons: Randall Scott and Wife Chris, Carl David, Daughter’s: Vicky Fields, partner Don Stecklein, Andrea Fields, Angela Fields, fiance Steve Bancum. Three grandchildren Linda, Jeffery and Ethan, great grandson Hunter, sister Patrica Adams, Tina’s sons Nicholas Lapolla, Brian & Kendra their son Samson Lapolla, brothers & sisters Jamie Rowels, Walter Maynard, Jessie Kuhn, Edward Maynard and Edwina Holmes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Willam Fields, sister Alice Stiltner, son-in-law Scott Pierce and sister Sara Wicker.

Calling hours will be on Friday February 24th 2017 from 4-8 pm at Devore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N.  St. Route 61, Sunbury, OH 43074, Masonic Services 7:45 pm. Funeral Services on Saturday at 10:30am.  Burial will follow at Bennington Twp Cemeteries in Marengo.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or the National Kidney Foundation.
