Carl H. Dever, 77, of Delaware passed away early Thursday morning January 23, 2014 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 6, 1936 in Wooster, Ohio to James H. Dever and Nancy (Moore) Dever.

He retired from Amana Range in Delaware and was a former member of the Delaware Moose Lodge and Eagles #376. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and lived his life to the motto of “Buckeye born and Buckeye bred and when I die I’ll be Buckeye dead.”.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Robert (Gladys) Dever and Glen (Jo) Dever of Delaware; sisters, Janet Moore of Delaware and Imogene Lash of Anderson, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Dever and a sister Gus Nibert.

Private family services will be held and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Contributions in Carl’s memory may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
