MANSFIELD: Bruce Scott Schuttera, 60, of Ashland passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.

Scott was born October 22, 1958 in Mansfield, to Philip and Margie Schuttera. He was a 1977 graduate of Madison High School.

Scott was a handyman and loved working on cars. Scott was the service manager at Steve Cobb’s Weidner Motors in Mansfield for a number of years. Scott was an avid fisherman and loved fishing with his dad and friends at Lake Erie.

Scott’s grandchildren were a huge part of his life and he loved them dearly.

Scott is survived by his parents, Philip and Margie Schuttera, 2 sons Joseph “Scotty” Dove and Andy Schuttera; two sisters Brenda and Zack Heinberger and Sheree and Bob Brown; sister-in-law Laura and Geoff Hillman along with 10 grandchildren; and numerous cousins.

Scott is preceded in death by wife Diane, and son Roger “Freddie” Dove.

The Schuttera family will receive guests Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 12 – 1 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where his funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Celebrant Dave Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in Imhoff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the American Diabetes Association may be made at the funeral home.
