Bruce A. Adams, age 52, of Marengo, OH, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 7, 1964 in Columbus to the Barbara (Gehring) Slade and the late Clyde “Geno” Adams. Bruce was a Maintenance Electrical Tech 4, for Ashland Chemical for 30 years. When Bruce wasn’t fixing a car he enjoyed getting out his guitar and making up funny songs to hear his family laugh. He was described as marvelous and fun loving with an outgoing personality. Bruce will be remembered for many things but most of all for his selfless attributes and as a terrific father.

  • Dear Family and Friends,

I’m sorry for your loss. I just wanted to leave you with an encouraging scripture that has helped me deal with the loss of a loved one. It is found in the Bible Book of Palm 34:18 here God assures us that He is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Hope it brings you comfort as it has for me.

  • Very sad and sorry to hear this. He was a super nice person. I enjoyed working with him and his friendship. Rest in Peace Bruce.

  • Bruce was someone who cared more about others then himself never a selfish act. The times I spent with him and the family are memories that will never be forgotten. From my first Budweiser to listening to him talk about tinkering with cars and projects. We may not have been family by blood but I have considered him a part of mine. You will be missed deeply and forever in our hearts ..

  • We send our sympathy to Bruce family he was a great young man and we will miss him. I am sure he touched alot of lives along his life’s journey,

  • I loved a man that meant the world to me
Spoiled me rotten anyone could see
Would have given me the moon if he could
I told him no that I am good
All I needed was him for me
Now it time for me to set him free
It was love at first site
    He was my light
    He will never be forgotten
    How dim it has gotten
I can hardly see but for him I need to try
    To keep my spirits high

I Love you Sweetie, RIP I miss you ;(

  • The day we lost you was the saddest day ever. To know there never be another day to hang out and laugh and have fun. .As tears 😭 keep rolling down my face all I can do is see your face!!! You was a great amazing person who was loved by us all!! U will truly truly be missed but NEVER EVER EVER EVER FORGOTTEN Bruce! The day we have to say our final goodbye will be a heart breaking day for me and my sister. She lived for you she loves you she did because she wanted to. You was and will always be her world her heart her soul… I know you are not in pain anymore , May you Rest In Peace till we see you again!!!

  • I have known Bruce for many years, and I have witnessed him walk through lifes sorrows and joys. To that end, I assure you, Bruce was someone I respected. It was clear that he was selfless in his care and concern for others. He was always the first to give, and often it was discovered that he gave before anyone else even knew there was a need. He quietly, unassumably took care of those he held close. He was a strong man, the silent strength you find in the best of us. He was not one to complain, not because he did not suffer, but because he always saw hope and goodness, and that was his focus.
He loved to brag about his children and their accomplishments. He was so proud of each and every one. He found Lana, who proved to be his lifeline. She was his helper when he needed her most, she was unfailing in her dedication to him, and that is a testimony to the character of Bruce. Bruce made a difference in this world, and he will leave a big hole in the lives of many. He will be proud to see all who step up and fill the shoes he left behind. They are pretty big shoes. I will miss him dearly

  • Alana,

I am so sorry for your loss. Bruce will be missed. I wished I got a chance to know him better. He is an angel watching us now. So don’t be too sad. He is in no more pain or suffering. He will be missed.

  • I want Bucky’s family to know that I was so thankful to see him a few years ago when he came to my Aunt Betty Clark’s Funeral. I enjoyed the brief time we had. I have fond memories of him when we were children playing whenever I visited my Grandparents & Aunt & during the few years I lived w/them in High School.
I know he is w/our Lord & is no longer suffering in pain. He was a beautiful, fun loving spirit.

As we say here in Hawaii, Aloha Oe e A’Hui Hou Bucky (Ah-low-ha oi A ah hoowee hoe) meaning: Good-bye but only till I see you again Bucky…

    Aloha (Love),

  • I was fortunate to be put under Bruce’s wing years ago. He tought me a lifetime of lessons i will pass on. His old school, and my new ideas, we were a dangerous combination. I could not be more impressed and thankful to him. We talked and carried on about a million subjects, projects, cars, life, and in between. He is my Dear friend and always will be

  • Brucey you were an amazing person. You helped lots of people, always thinking of others before yourself. My favorite saying from you was “I never talked like this till i met your mom” or “I never acted like this till i met you guys”. You were a funny man very silly and always making jokes. I was sad when you got ALSA but i knew you were a fighter, i had faith that you could beat it; sadly not everyone can fight everything even if you want to. One thing is for sure no one can say that you didn’t fight to stay here with us. We’ll forever miss you and you’ll forever be in our hearts.
