Brenda M. Herald, age 43 of Columbus passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center in Columbus following an extended illness.

She was born on October 27, 1966 in Columbus, where she was a lifelong resident. Brenda worked in the telemarketing field and since 1987 struggled from complications with diabetes.

Both outgoing and out spoken, she will be remembered for her loving and caring ways. She enjoyed hunting deer and turkey in Athens County with her husband and also collected deer. She was a lifelong fan of Reba McEntire.

Family was most important as she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survived by her devoted husband of 26 years: Christopher, daughters: Miranda (Dale) Allen, Jennifer Herald, grandchildren: Kaydance, Logan, Olivia, Scott all of Columbus, Mother: Winifred (Murfield) Workman of Delaware, sisters: Diane (John) Black of Columbus, Carolyn Workman (Rick McDole) of Delaware, brother: Ronald (Chris) Workman of Columbus, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father John Workman in 2005 and sister Patricia Logan.

Friends may call Thursday 4-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), in Delaware, where a service celebrating the life of Brenda Herald will be Friday 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David Adams officiating, interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
