Brenda J. Griffith, age 60, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born on September 22, 1959 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Bobby and June (Clark) Smith.
Brenda was a member of Amvets Post #95 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4027. She enjoyed swimming with her “boys” Nate and Dexter her canine companions.
She is survived by her daughter, Cassie (Andy) Cunningham of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Victoria (Austin) Conant, Bailey Cunningham, Evan Cunningham and Payton Cunningham; two great grandchildren, Mason and Jamison Conant; her mother, June Parsons of Mount Vernon; three brothers, Bobby (Cindy) Smith of Howard, Bill Smith of Fredericktown, Barry Smith of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Debbie (Rodney) Chapman of Howard, Tammy (John) Harden of Mount Vernon and Shelley (Dan) Jacobs of Newark.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Griffith in 2019.
The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date in Morris Chapel Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Brenda J. Griffith.

I’m so sorry for your loss! I’ve known Brenda it seems like most my life. She was the sweetest person and so full of life. This breaks my heart I have so much love and respect for Brenda she was a good friend. My prayers are with you all. R.I.P. Brenda. You will be sadly missed and forever loved!
