Bobby L. Satterfield, age 64, of Becky Lane, Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday May 21, 2009 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 6, 1945 in Mount Vernon to Charles “Shorty” (Beverly) Satterfield and Mary Jane Kemmer. Bobby worked for United Aggregates in Mount Vernon. Bobby loved being outdoors. He enjoyed working in his yard, hiking, kayaking and biking. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and playing with his granddaughter.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Carol (Antill) Satterfield, two daughters, Gayle (Tim) Rieder of Mount Vernon, Michelle (Kevin) Buchheit of Tucson, Arizona, a granddaughter, Mia Rieder, his father of Bradenton, Florida and a sister, Beverly Baldwin of Bradenton, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 5 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. The family will observe a private graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Rev. James Taylor will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
