Bobby Gerald “Jerry” Newell, age 66, of Sunbury, OH, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at his residence.  Owner and Operator of Newell’s Lawn Service.  Former Spotter and Security for Nestlé and former Laborer with Select Sires.

Born May 14, 1954, in Marysville, Ohio to the late Lee E. and Betty M. (Kinniard) Newell.

Jerry most enjoyed spending time with their grandkids and other family, mowing, camping, storytelling, painting anything, and tinkering with vehicles.  He was proud of his collection of mowers and trucks.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by brother, John Newell; uncle, Elmer Newell; and best friends, Jim and Olive Evans.

Jerry is survived by loving wife of 32 years, Becky; sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Amy of Marysville, Jerry and Kim of Milford Center, and Tyler and Courtney of Cardington; daughter, Jenny Newell of Marion; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Jennifer, Larry and Annamae all of Plain City; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Ronnie Itnyre of Marysville; grandchildren, Carsen, Dylan, Chloe, Jackson, Orion, Phoenix, Persephone, and Wyatt.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 26, 2020, at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, where the family will be receiving friends from 5:30 pm until time of service.  Pastor Dan Brown officiating.  Private family interment at Green Mound Cemetery, Kilbourne, OH.
