NORTH WOODBURY: Billy Troupe’s wealth and his source of pride were his children and grandchildren. He dearly loved them. A family man who loved his wife and mother, he valued the strong bonds of family, and communicated that through love in action.
Billy passed away Friday afternoon July 24, 2015 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, after falling ill at work. He was 46.
Born December 16, 1968 in Alpena, Michigan, Billy attended Ontario Schools, and had worked more than five years as a welder with SkyClimber in Delaware before recently accepting a position with STAR Turbine in Marion.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and motorcycling.
He is survived by his wife Amy (Tinkey) Troupe; their children Sherri & Joey Thornton of Fredericktown, Angela Utter in Indiana and David Utter of Shelby; grandchildren Cameran, Brendan, Navaeh, Bradley, Draven, Braedon, Jocelyn, Mackenzie; his mother Betty (McCrea) Caudle of Ontario; his father Robert Ray Troupe of Ashland; brothers Robert Kenneth Troupe of Mansfield and Christopher Troupe of Mansfield, sister Trish Troupe of Mt. Vernon; his in-laws Elizabeth & Roy Keen of Johnsville and Domer Tinkey of Fredericktown; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert & Jessica Tinkey of Johnsville and Joey & Lisa Tinkey of Fredericktown.
He was preceded in death by a brother Michael Allen Troupe, his step-father Stanley Caudle, his step-mother Pat Troupe, and a brother-in-law Larry Tinkey.
The Troupe family will receive friends Monday, July 27, 2015 from 2 to 3 p.m. in North Woodbury Freewill Baptist Church, 6186 State Route 314, Mount Gilead, where his funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Pastor Rob Ratcliff will officiate. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Billy’s memory to his family, to benefit a permanent memorial, may be made at the funeral.
