Beulah Huff, age 80, of Marengo, died early Wednesday morning, July 20, 2005 at Morrow County Hospital.
She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on November 14, 1924 to the late John and Mary (Doss) Witt. She attended the Marengo United Methodist Church. She worked for Bountiful Growers. Beulah loved anything that would grow, had a “green thumb,” and especially enjoyed planting and tending to roses. She also enjoyed needlework and quilting.
She is survived by her Daughters: Linda (Tom) Smith of Mt. Gilead, and Cheryl (Dan) Lilley of Marengo, Son: Ronald (Cynthia) Huff of Sunnyvale, California, Grandchildren: Melissa (Mike) Traynor, Michael (Jennifer) Huff, Julia Huff, Angie (Chris) Bachus, and Chris Lilley, Great-Grandchildren: Nicole and Colin Huff, Brother: Orcia (Wilma) Witt of Marengo, Sisters: Ada Bush of Centerburg, and Geneva (Earl) Howard of Delaware, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years on December 31, 1985, William “Carl” Huff, whom she married on August 6, 1940, 6 Brothers, and a Sister.
The family will greet friends on Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo, SR 229, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Beverly Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Butter Cemetery.
