Beulah A. Allinder, 83, of Marion died Saturday September 1, 2007 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus,

She was born on April 1, 1924 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late David and Minnie (Coffee) Jenkins

Beulah was a lifetime resident of the Marion Community. She was the consumate homemaker; cooking, sewing, and most importantly playing an active role in raising her 6 children. The family will remember her out in her vegetable garden; vegetables that she would can for the winter months. Some of you may recall sitting down to a plate of her wonderful green beans.

She was a very forgiving person, with a gentle smile that would light up a room.

Beulah attended the White Oaks Free Will Baptist Church. She was a member of the Marion Area Rentals Association, the VFW and the Moose and Eagles Lodge.

She will be missed by her son Mike (Silvia) Howard of Marion; three daughters Wanda Lee (Richard) Painter of Marion, Brenda Utley of Prospect, and Deborah (Steven) Porturica of Niles, Ohio; step-daughter Theresa Davis of Forest, Ohio; companion Phillip Wooten of Marion; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and three sisters Emma Jean Eskew of Springboro, Ohio, Midred Barker of Columbus, Ohio and Doroline Parson of Greenup, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Robert Allinder; sons Darrell “Johnny” Howard, and David Howard; step-son Bobby Allinder; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call on the family on Wednesday September 5, 2007 from 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion. Pastor Earl Tackett and Associate Pastor Jim Curry will conduct funeral services there on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
