Betty Mae Brouillette, age 94, of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on January 1, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Keifer and Floretta (Shaffer) Moore.

Betty graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy in Indianapolis before working at Indiana Bell Telephone Company in the directory department.   She is a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  In the past Betty was part of the Parrish Counsel, Sunday School teacher and volunteered for numerous activities.  She also volunteered her time at Mount Vernon Head Start and was on the Board with the Salvation Army.

Betty loved traveling from the time she was a young lady.  Her travels took her all over the world including Europe and Caribbean.  She enjoyed going to Ohio State Bowl Games and rooting on the Buckeyes.  Betty enjoyed taking a break and reading a good book, but most of all she loved being around her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Bob (Carole) Brouillette, Carol Brouillette, Susan (Thomas Hill) Brouillette, Mary Ann Brouillete-Preissle; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hill and Ben Hill.

Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Brouillette.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 5-7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.  The Rosary will be recited following visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
