Mount Gilead, Ohio

Betty M. Robinson, 79, of Mount Gilead died Saturday morning, February 23, 2008 at Hospice of Ashland.

She was born on April 12, 1928 in Perry County the daughter of the late A. Merle and A. Marie (Dickerson) Wright.

Betty has been a resident of Morrow and Marion Counties most of her life. She was a graduate of Claridon High School in the class of 1945 and was employed by Fahey Bank in Marion as a bank teller and for Fulfillment.

On March 28, 1963 she married Carl M. Robinson. They were married for 32 years before his death on February 1, 1996.

Betty was a member of the Chesterville TOPS group.

With a talent for sewing, Betty made anything from quilts to stuffed toys. She even made seasonal outfits for her ceramic goose in the front yard.

Betty also grew vegetables in her garden for canning. She canned all vegetables and her family’s favorite was her pickles.

She loved all games, but was particularly fond of euchre and rummy. While she loved the competition, the fact that it brought friends and family together was equally as pleasing.
