BELLVILLE: Betty Geraldine Redd Sellers, age 78, of Howard, died Sunday afternoon April 29, 2001 in Country Court Care Center following a long illness.
She was born October 1, 1922 in Findlay to Homer F. and Edna Newton Moyer, and was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School.
Betty retired in 1987 with more than 17 years of service with Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield.
A Bellville resident most of her life, Betty was a member of the Fun & Friendship Club, enjoyed crafts, and was renowned in the valley as a cake baker and decorator, with numerous graduation, wedding and party cakes to her credit. Following her retirement she spent 7 years in Ashland, and moved to Mt. Vernon 6 years ago.
She is survived four daughters and three sons-in-law Linda L. & James Johnson of Howard, Bonnie L. Kershner of Mansfield, Sandra M. & Norman Titschinger of Brooksville, FL, and Shelia J. & Edward Hartline of Ashland; a son and daughter-in-law Billy L. & Sharon Redd of Ashland; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law Marilyn & Mark Weston of Picayune, MS, and a brother and sister-in-law Donald & Barbara Moyer of Carey, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Redd on November 14, 1969; and 2 great grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday May 2, 2001 from 5-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am. Pastor Al Hockley will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
