Betty B. Cameron Casner, 63, of Galion, died Sunday, Apr. 6, 2008 at Galion Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Born July 27, 1944 in Shelby, she was the daughter of the late Walter Cron and Mary Anna Stahl Cron Burling who survives in Heath. She married Gary Casner in Oct. 2007 and he survives.

She was a graduate of Shelby High School in 1962 and Bowling Green State University in 1966 with a degree in education.

Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed sports and was a Cleveland Indians and Browns fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports. She was an avid reader and a frequent patron at Galion Public Library. Betty was a special education teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School in Galion for many years. She then worked at United Church Directories and most recently has been doing home health care.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Ronny Doles of Galion; one son, Charles Cameron of Brooklyn, N.Y. and two grandchildren, Darren Conley and Alyssa Hammond.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 10, 2008 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Apr. 11, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Schelling officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home with Greg Kirk, Deacon, officiating.
