Bethany S. “Buffy” Bunting, age 33 of Columbus and formerly of Delaware died from injuries sustained from a automobile accident on St. Rt. 36/37 East of Delaware on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

She was born on July 3, 1984 in Columbus and worked as a customer service agent for a number of companies.

Kindhearted and fun loving; she was a true people person, possessing a vivacious personality. The consummate entrepreneur, she was always looking for creative ways to make a dollar. With a love of shopping and having a soft spot for all children, she treated others as her own.  She also purchased new school shoes and supplies for her adopted children.

Buffy enjoyed a passion for traveling and shoes, her bags were always packed and Miami was her favorite destination. She also enjoyed swimming and riding motorcycles. A brave and loyal friend, she will be remembered for her love of children, family, being known as the princess of the family, and her confident nature.

She is survived by her mother and step-father Carla (Richard) Ellis of Delaware, sisters Deanna McGary and Autumn Bunting both of Columbus, brother AJ Fenty, nephew Zavier McGary, niece Gianna McGary, adopted son La’kei Darrington, boyfriend Rueben Darrington, best friends Leah, Daryl, Danielle, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bethany was preceded in death by her father Jeffery “Randy” Scarbrough and the love of her life Tyree Slaughter.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware where services will follow at 6:00 p.m.
