Bessie Bea Casey, 86, of Delaware went home to be with the Lord peacefully early Monday morning January 13, 2014 at the Arbors at London.

She was born July 27, 1927 in Delaware to Walter F. and Blanche G. (Aigner) Lee.

She graduated from Radnor High School and later attended and graduated from cosmetology school. Bessie retired from Kroger’s after over 20 years of service and she was a lifetime member of the Troy Chapel Church in Delaware. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and playing solitaire. She also loved her Brach’s cinnamon discs and 3 Musketeers bars. She was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia and mice memorabilia in general. She was also a member of the American and International Hat Pin and Hat Pin Holders Society and the UFCW Union.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Shawn Casey of Mills River, North Carolina; daughters, Kathleen “Kathy” (Garry) Whitley of Plain City, Arline (William) Yoakum and Martha Osborn of Delaware; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Martha Sidenstricker of Delaware; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Edward and H. Warren Lee.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 17th from 12:00 pm until the time of Celebration of Life Services at 2:00 pm at the Troy Chapel Church, 4269 US Highway 23 N, Delaware, with Pastor Earl Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Radnor Cemetery.

Contributions in Bessie’s memory may be made to the Troy Chapel Church.
