Bertha M. Neff, 84, of Westview Drive, Mount Gilead, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 in Woodside Village.

She was born in Morrow County on May 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Leo and Geneva (Edgell) Williams. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in 1941. Bertha was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who had helped operate a family farm in Marion County for 43 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Mother’s Club. She enjoyed playing cards and reading.

She is survived by her husband John “Bob” Neff, whom she married July 2, 1943; two daughters Kathy (Frank) Perry of Cardington, Ohio, and Pat (Tom) Harden of Mount Gilead, Ohio; four grandchildren Julie (Dickie) Higgins of Mount Gilead, Ohio, Jason (Myung Sun) Rogers of Littleton, CO, Candace (Mike) Irwin of Powell, Ohio, and Samantha Harden of Mount Gilead Ohio; a great grandson Ethan Irwin; two brothers Bob (Betty) Williams of Mount Gilead, Ohio and Kenneth Williams of Johnson City, TN; nieces and nephews.

A brother Bub Williams also preceded her in death.

Rev. Dennis L. Braun will conduct memorial services in First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are in care of the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead.
