Bernard P. Wisler, 78, of 715 W. Church Street, Galion, died Monday, September 27, 2004 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born November 16, 1925 in Galion, he was the son of the late Paul Wisler and Ruth Albright Wisler.
He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1943 and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Philippines. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galion. He liked keeping busy and enjoyed golf. He was a member of Valley View Golf Course in Galion. He also liked computers, electronics and tinkering. He was employed at Perfection-Cobey in Galion for 40 years where he was an Industrial Engineer. Later he worked at Vulcan Products in Galion where he was a general manager.
Surviving are several cousins, Helen Henry and Ruth Cass of Galion, Bill Wisler of Marion, Bob Wisler and George Wisler of Bryan, Ed Wisler of York, Penn., Tom Hoffman of Crestline and George Hoffman of Cincinnati.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Friday. with Rev. Michael Schelling officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
