Bernard “Bernie” Petak, age 61, of Mount Gilead, passed away Friday morning, February 15, 2019, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Maria Consuelo Servando Petak; children Brian & Annette, and Jeremy; grandchildren Mikayla and Brayson; parents Bernard (+) and RoseMarie (+) Petak; sisters & brother and in laws Kathy & Mike Cordle, Mark &  Terry Petak, RoseMarie &  Dave Guthrie, Jean Patla (+) & Robert; and nephews & nieces.

Bernie’s family will greet friends from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, 4680 U.S. Route 42, Cardington.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Ryan Schmit officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the Active Duty U.S. Air Force, VFW Post 8054 and AMVETS Post 87. Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Glendale Cemetery in Cardington.
