MANSFIELD: Bernadine C. “Ben” Kallerson peacefully passed away on her 89th birthday, May 20, 2015 in Brookdale Mansfield (formerly Sterling House) surrounded by her family.

She was born May 20, 1926 to parents Narcis & Eva (Poquette) Thibeault in Gladstone, MI. On August 21, 1948 she married Ernest O. Kallerson and they shared 43 wonderful years of marriage until he passed away in 1991. They are together again.

Bernadine worked at Mansfield General Hospital for over 16 years until retiring in 1990. In spare time, she took pleasure in cooking, reading, and sewing. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mansfield.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Dianne & Danny Finley of Mansfield, and Cheryl & Louie Breedlove of Ontario; daughter-in-law Tonya Kallerson of Lexington; nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; a sister Lorraine Dugas of Royal Oak, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son Terry Kallerson who passed away in 2007; and four siblings: Eva Carlson, Audrey Fix, Morris Thibeault, and Willard Thibeault.

Her family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Chaplain Dan Clouse will officiate and burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.

Contributions in her memory to Southern Care Hospice may be made at the funeral home.
