Beatrice Miles, age 80, of Tucson, AZ and formerly of Mount Gilead, OH, passed away at her home Sunday, May 26, 2019.
On November 2, 1938, Beatrice was born in Pike County, KY, daughter of the late Thery and Ilene (Sutherland) Taylor.
For many years, Beatrice worked outside of the home as a waitress.
A woman of faith, she was a member of the Eastside Assembly of God in Tucson. She enjoyed being a Bible school teacher’s aide there and always loved reading her Bible.
In her spare time, Beatrice liked doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved being with her grandchildren and spending time in her favorite place, San Jose, CA.
Beatrice will be remembered as a very independent and strong-willed woman. She was an extremely generous person and was always happiest when she was doing things for other people.
Beatrice will be dearly missed by her son, Kenneth W. (Lourdes Reyna) Lyon; four grandchildren: Ashley N. Lyon, Ricardo L. Reyna, Kristyn K. Lyon, Daniela M. Lyon; and three great grandchildren: Mariah DePew, Ethan Kelly, and Ryder S. Reyna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Howard Lyon and Chuck Miles; and three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at Rivercliff Cemetery in Mount Gilead, OH at a later date.
