Barbara Ruhl Alm, 68, of Twp. Rd. 115, Cardington, Ohio died Thursday, August 21, 2003 in Knox Community Hospital.
She was a lifelong Morrow County resident, born in Stantontown on Sept. 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Budd and Myrtle Kidwell Ruhl. She worked for North Electric in Galion, Wendy’s, the Gathering Inn, and most recently worked for the MRMTOAP Community Action Program until retiring. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, and had served as a Board Member and President of the Morrow County Unit of the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed crocheting and her family.
She is survived by a son Bryan Mason of Cardington, OH; a daughter Mary (James) Cochran of Ashley, OH; a daughter-in-law Terril Martin of Cardington, OH; four step-sons Bill Mason of Mt. Gilead, OH, Dennis Alm of New Brighton, MN, Richard Alm of Galloway, OH, and Tim Alm of Harrisonburg, VA; two step-daughters Dee Mason of Tucson, AZ, and Carol Walton of Harrisonburg, VA; 5 grandchildren; step-grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; two brothers Glen (Mary Ann) Ruhl of Iron Station, NC, and Gene (Marlene) Ruhl of Williamsport, OH; and a sister Rowena (Bob) Whipple of Mt. Gilead, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husbands John K. Mason and Richard L. Alm and by a son John E. Martin.
Friends may call at the Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Gilead on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Pastor Scott Pickle will hold funeral services there Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
