Barbara L. “Barb” Miller, 84, of Bucyrus, passed away Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Bucyrus Hospital.

Born July 7, 1933 in Bellville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Ilo (Phelps) Mowry.  She married Harold L. Miller on January 30, 1953 and they shared 65 years together.

Barb served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and worked at the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum as a proof reader and later for the former Conley’s Department Store in Bucyrus.  She was a life member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 in Galion and life member of the AMVETS Post 1979 in Galion where she served seven years as Commander and also served as Chaplain.  She also served as the Chaplain at the district level for the AMVETS and also Public Relations officer at the state level of the AMVETS

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons, Jerry (Brenda) Miller of Galion and Randy Miller of Huston, Texas; three grandchildren, Christina Miller, Michel “Dylan” Miller and Amanda Bliss; three great grandchildren, Trysten, Macyn and Madylinn.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Bliss, great grandson, Kyle Smith and brother, Jerry Mowry.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 with Pastor Jeff Shaull officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery

Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.

Memorial contributions may be made to CrossWay Assembly of God Youth Group in care of the funeral home.
