Barbara June Bandagski

Barbara June (Varadi) Bandagski passed away Friday, November 16, 2018, in her home surrounded by her family. She was 84.

She was born May 24, 1934, to parents James & June Varadi in Lorain, Ohio. Barbara graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1952, and was treasurer for Harpcrest Community Center and later retired from Thermo-disc after 17 years of service.

In spare time, she took pleasure in working outdoors in her flower gardens and going out to church, lunch, and dinner with her friends. Barbara also enjoyed playing bingo, doing crafts, sewing, baking and making all sorts of candies. But above all, Barbara cherished spending time with her family and will be missed by those who love her.

She is survived by children Lisa Bandagski, Tammy Kirst, John Bandagski Sr., Laura (Mike) Hill, and David (Lisa) Bandagski; stepchildren Kathy (Rich) Frazolak, Karen Neville, and Tommy (Mary-Ann) Bandagski; sister Carol (Carl) Zelek; brother James (Sharon) Varadi; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Ella Myers and her grandfather George Myers; and grandson Keith Young.

A special thank you to those who helped care for her in this difficult time, and to Southern Care Hospice and her nurses for the wonderful care they gave her; Monica, Cheyenne, and Daphne.

Barbara’s family and friends may gather Monday, November 26, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. Celebrant Dave Roberts will speak. Burial will take place at a later date in Brookdale Cemetery.

Contributions in Barbara’s memory to Southern Care Hospice and St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, which she was a faithful donor of for many years, may be made at the funeral home.
