Heaven gained a happy smile as Barbara Stanfill, age 85, went home to be with her Savior, Sunday, May 2, 2021.

She was born September 3, 1935, to the late Edward and Vivian Tope of Gallipolis, Ohio. Barb grew up in Gallipolis and graduated with an RN degree from Holzer School of Nursing.

Along the way she met Kenneth Stanfill and married on December 22, 1956.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Stanfill, three sons Brian (Nancy) Stanfill of Powell, OH; Floyd (Karen) Stanfill of Zoar, OH; Gary Stanfill of Powell, OH; and daughter Pamela Stanfill of Lucasville, OH; Seven Grandchildren Tim, Katie, Amy, Scott, David, Bethany, and Seth, and Seven Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Barbara loved traveling, playing the piano, doing puzzles, raising flowers, and deeply loved her family.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Bob Tope.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Monday, May 10th, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware, Ohio 43015, her son Pastor Floyd Stanfill will officiate. Face masks will be required for all attendees. The services will be live-streamed and can be viewed by visiting

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

  • My sincere sympathy to Ken, Gary and the rest of Barb’s family. Barb was a great member of our water aerobics class at the Powell “Y” and graciously offered the use of her party house for our get-togethers. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren.
