BELLVILLE: Barbara J. “Barbie” Morrow, 51, of State Route 97, Bellville, died Monday evening October 14, 2002 in her home following a sudden illness.
She was born July 28, 1951 in Mansfield to Eugene T. and Louise E (Skaggs) Thompson, was graduated Madison High School in 1969,and was a lifelong area resident.
Barbie had worked as a telephone operator with United Telephone and Sprint for 24 years.
She was a member of the Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion Auxiliary. An avid dog lover, she enjoyed hunting, especially squirrel and deer hunting.
She and her husband raised more than 30 Springer Spaniels and several Shelties, which she considered members of the family.
She is survived by her husband Tim A. Morrow, whom she married June 8, 1974; her parents of Mansfield; her sister and brother-in-law Peggy S. and Skip Correll of Mansfield; her mother-in-law Marian Morrow of Mansfield; a sister-in-law Cynthia Metzger of Ontario; nieces and nephews Woodrow and Tamara Smith and Stephen and Angela Boyd; great niece Julia Smith and great nephews Christopher and Andrew Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Williams and Gladys Skaggs and Joseph and Josephine Thompson; and her father-in-law Robert S. Morrow.
Friends may call Thursday October 17, 2002 from 5-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Friday at 11 am. The Rev. Carl Cunfer will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad may be made at the funeral home.
