MANSFIELD ~ Audrey Norma MacLeod Alward, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Kissimmee, Florida. She was 85.
She was born March 20, 1925 in Sydney, Nova Scotia to Angus M. and Sarah M. MacLeod.
For 30 years she lived in Lakewood, Ohio, where she raised her family and worked in the Emergency Room of Fairview General Hospital.
Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Wallace Carson Alward, her precious granddaughter Christin Stock; her parents; her sisters Mary and Shirley.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Leon and Kazi Alward of Iowa City, IA, and Peter and Kelly Alward of Moline, IL, and daughters and sons-in-law Heather and Terry Irwin of Port Angeles, WA, Susan and Lloyd O’Dell of Kissimmee, FL, and Sarah and Mark Redding of Lucas, OH; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law Donald & Barbara MacLeod of Rocky River, OH, and Frederick & Bruni MacLeod of Maineville, OH.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:30 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion Redding will officiate. Friends may call on the Alward family the half hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
