Audrey H. Jordan, 88, of Mount Gilead, Ohio died Thursday, January 1, 2004 in the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on May 3, 1915, the daughter of the late Harrison and Stella Cremeans Sheets. She graduated from Huntington High School and moved here in 1943. She was a devoted wife and mother who was dedicated to her family. Audrey was a member of the Pulaskiville Community Bible Church where she was active in the music program, both playing the piano and singing.
She is survived by three sons Dan (Laura Lee) Jordan of Navarre, Florida, Paul (Kay) Jordan of Parkersburg, WV, and Herbert Mark (Sharon) Jordan of Mount Gilead, Ohio; a daughter Sally (Roger) Craven of Boise, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister Elva Lee Martin of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Her husband Bart E. Jordan, whom she married May 21, 1939, preceded her in death on July 11, 1995. An infant daughter Audrey Jeanne, four brothers Clarence, Ernest, Forrest and Frederick, and two sisters Christine and Joann also preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Craven Funeral Home in Mount Gilead on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Bryn Zion Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
