Arthur D. “Art” Baker, Jr., 58, of Bucyrus passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Marion Manor.

Born July 11, 1958 in Galion, he was the son of the late Arthur D. Baker, Sr. and Helen “Jean” Baker-Taylor  of Galion.

He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1977 and previously worked as a truck driver then Eagle Crusher as a painter and lastly at Swan Rubber in Bucyrus. He enjoyed hunting arrow heads and mushrooms.

In addition to his mother he is also survived by a sister, Diana Baker of Galion; niece Darcy Marsh of Shelby; nephew Dennis Marsh of Galion; aunts May Shumaker of Galion, June Baker of Jonesboro, Tenn., and Iva Mahler of Galion; uncle, Harold (Ardell) Baker of Shelby; a great niece and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Mark Bogan officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
