Arlene M. Weiser, 84, of Delaware passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Sarah Moore Home in Delaware.

She was born August 25, 1929 in Delaware to William and Clarissa (Cramer) Heavlin. On January 6, 1951, she married Edmund Weiser, who died on December 29, 1985. Arlene is survived by two daughters, Deborah of Bowling Green, Ohio and Karen of Delaware; two grandchildren, Tom and Anne McLaughlin, reside in San Francisco and Santa Monica, California, respectively.

Arlene is also survived by her sister Marjorie (Midge) Howe of Marion and a brother Bill Heavlin. Other survivors include Stanley “Gene” Weiser, Ed’s brother and Lois Weiser, the widow of Ed’s brother John. Aunt Arlene was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Geraldine “Jerri” Fullwood and Ada Roat, preceded her in death as did a brother Donald.

Arlene enjoyed camping and fishing and annual trips with Ed to Nashville’s Country Music Fan Fair. For the most part a homemaker, over the years, she had worked at Ranco Manufacturing, Ohio Wesleyan University and Bun’s restaurant.

The family will receive friends on Sunday February 23rd from 2 – 5 pm at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Monday February 24th at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
