April Dawn King age 31 of Delaware and her infant daughter Erin Elizabeth King, mother and daughter together went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on May 10, 2009.

April was born in Columbus on April 14, 1978 and was a 1996 graduate of Teays Valley High School. She was the kindest, loving daughter of Thelma DeAnn & Doug Moore of Delaware and John D. King Jr. of Mt. Gilead.

She had worked in concessions with AMC Theaters and was an active member of the Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, where she participated in the bus ministries, vacation bible school, and with the church nursery. With a heart of gold and a persistent personality, she was full of laughs and smiles.

April aspired to be a mother with the expected birth of her daughter Erin due on May 15, 2009. Her wish was to be a mother. Happiest with family and holding babies, she will be remembered for her loving ways.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by grandparents: Paul and Donna Hunt of Obetz, and DeMonta (Ivan) King Marlowe of Columbus, siblings: Cheri Moore of Gahanna, John D. (Liz) King III of Carroll, James Moore of Gahanna, Paul King of Obetz, Amanda (Jason) Chapman of Marysville, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by grandfather: John D. King Sr.

Friends may call Friday from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at the East Side Mission Church, 32 Joy Ave., Delaware, where services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating. Burial will take place privately for the family in Cheshire Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware.
