Antonius “Ton” Badoux

Antonius “Ton” Badoux, age 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Knox Community Hospital.

He was born on February 10, 1944 in the Netherlands to the late Ludovicus and Elisabeth Badoux.

Ton was a mechanical engineer by profession. He was a member of the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene, a member of the Fly-fishing Club in Newark, and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed helping people out. Ton also enjoyed woodworking, pottery, riding motorcycles, traveling, and fishing.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Sheryl (McKee) Badoux; a brother, Luc (Mary) Badoux; brother-in-law, John Mulder and numerous nephews in the Netherlands, brother-in-law Robert (Lou Ann) McKee and his family.  He especially loved his dog, Sadie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 – 1:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon with Pastor Scott Sharpes officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
