Antonio “Tony” DePolo, age 66, of Gambier, died Thursday September 5, 2002 at his son’s residence in Gambier following an extended illness. Tony was born March 28, 1936 in Utica to Carl DePolo and Nina (Arrington) DePolo Llewellyn and had spent his lifetime in Knox County. Tony had been employed for 20 years at Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Mount Vernon.

He was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years Elaine (Keller) DePolo; two sons Steve (Rita) DePolo and Jeffrey DePolo all of Gambier; his daughter Jill (Byron) Rock of Fredericktown; 6 grandchildren; his step father George Llewellyn of Mount Vernon; 3 brothers Joseph “Joe” DePolo of Mt. Gilead, Nick (Peggy) DePolo of Mount Vernon and Phillip (Jan) DePolo of Cincinnati and his sister Cheryl (Dave) Butler of Mount Vernon. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother David Llewellyn.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is assisting the family with arrangements.
