Anthony Joseph “Tony” Foster was Promoted to Glory Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville following an extended illness. Tony was 42 and lived in Centerburg, Ohio.
Tony was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 15, 1976 and raised by John R and Kathleen M. (Moore) Foster. Tony moved to Ohio in 1994 with his family.
Tony was a fun loving, energetic, and ornery kid. With his happy-go-lucky personality he was sure to be found pulling his little red wagon full of stuffed animals around the house or riding his bike picking up the neighbor’s mail. In younger years, Tony enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics where he excelled at swimming, cross country skiing, soft-ball throws, and the 50 meter dash.
Tony was a long-time member of the Salvation Army where he earned the rank of Junior Soldier.
Tony will be missed by his parents, John and Kathleen Foster of Black Lick, Ohio; sister, Angelique (Jamie) Sybert of Kentucky, and nieces and nephews, Brendan, Bubby, Kayle, McKenzie, Allison, and Austin.
A funeral service will be held at The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury 637 Ohio 61, Sunbury on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11 am with Captain Stephanie Larrick officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
