Annette “Mor-Mor” Augenstine

Annette “Mor-Mor” Augenstine, 84, of Waldo passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, October 13, 2021 at the Country Club Retirement Center in Delaware surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 6, 1937 in Malmo, Nebraska to the late Dr. William and Helen (Anderson) Houfek.

A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waldo, Mor-Mor volunteered with her husband for Meals on Wheels. An avid reader, she also enjoyed cross word puzzles, gardening and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Katrina (Michael Jones) Roberts of Waldo; grandchildren Anthony Vaughn and his fiance’ Amy Striker, Josh (Brittany) Roberts and Hannah (Colton Gabbert) Roberts; great grandchildren Sophie, Stella, Weston, McKenna, and Dawson; sisters-in-law Helen Knauber and Tina Augenstine; Lizbeth’s companion Keith Latto.

In addition to her parents, Mor-Mor was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Howard L. Augenstine, her daughters Mary Augenstine and Lizbeth Ann Wine, her son-in-law Doug Roberts and her brother Warner Houfek.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.

Contributions in Mor-Mor’s memory may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.

When I visited you guys at your homes in Indiana Shores and Delaware as a kid, she and your dad were always so much fun.
