LOUDONVILLE: Anne Ruth McClure passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019, in Colonial Manor surrounded by her family. She was 88.

She was born February 17, 1931, to parents John P. & Irene (Rupert) Terry in Massillon, Ohio. Anne graduated from North High School in Columbus with the class of 1949. She then went on to earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio State University with the class of 1953 and was active with DELTA ZETA Sorority on campus.

Anne began teaching at Loudonville High School in 1954. On July 13, 1957, she married Wayne E. McClure and they spent 62 wonderful years. Anne taught until 1963, to then take a break to have her daughter. She began teaching again in 1969 and retired after 27 years in 1986.

Anne and Wayne are long-time members of Zion Lutheran Church in Loudonville. She was also an active member of The Progress Club, Loudonville Music Club, and the JuBELLation Senior Bell Choir from 1996 to 2009.

She is survived by her husband Wayne E. McClure of Loudonville; her daughter Dr. Andrea L. (Dale) Mattis of Loveland; brother-in-law James (Phyllis) McClure of Loudonville; niece Lynn (Russ) Smith of Loudonville; and nephew Charles (Becky) McClure of Cleveland.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service honoring Anne’s life will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Pioneer Cemetery Chapel, 2508 Co Rd 175, Loudonville, OH 44842. Pastor Scott Henderson will officiate. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.
