Annabel Marie Howard, age 89 of Delaware died Friday November 9, 2001 at Kobacker House in Columbus.

She was born on September 26, 1912 in Berlin Township to the late G. Herman and Ethel (Chambers) Rodenfels. Graduate of Berlin High School Class of 1931. Lifelong resident of Berlin Twp. where she had lived in the same house in which she was born. She assisted her husband with the family farm and was a homemaker. Member of the Rural Chapel United Methodist Church. Annabel was known for her special homemade cookies, especially her peanut butter cookies. She enjoyed church activities, her home life, gardening, flowers, and was a member of the former Utopian Grange.

Survived by her husband of 56 years; David whom she married on September 27, 1945, Sons: Robert (Patricia) Howard of Columbus, Dan (Karla) Corl of Mt. Vernon, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by infant daughter: Sharon Louise, and 3 sisters: Lola Fisher of Delaware, Mary Ward, and Florence Best.

Friends may call Sunday 2-6 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 am at the Rural Chapel Methodist Church, Pastor Russell Ham officiating, burial will follow at Cheshire Cemetery.
