Anna S. Frey, 72, of Galion, Ohio died Thursday evening, May 3, 2007 in the Med Central Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio.
She was born in Plain City, Ohio on November 5, 1934 the daughter of the late Simon S. and Katie (Troyer) Frey.
Anna has spent nearly 20 years in Galion since growing up in Plain City. While in Plain City she worked at the Dutch Kitchen as a prep cook. Before her retirement in 2004 she was a salad prep cook at the Troyer Dutch Heritage restaurant in Bellville.
She was a devoted member of the Gilead Mennonite Church in Chesterville where she was a member of their Sunday school class.
Anna will be remembered for her wonderful kitchen creations. She was very talented with yeast breads and made a wonderful cinnamon roll. She enjoyed embroidery and loved watching her shows. You may have one of Anna’s “unique” snapshots. She had a special way of making it her own.
Most importantly Anna’s family could count on her and her very generous nature.
She will be missed by her sister and brothers Susie Gruber of Massillon, Ohio, Sam (Mary Beth) Frey of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Alvin (Theresa) Frey of Columbus, Ohio; step-mother Martha Frey; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pastor Howard Horton will conduct funeral services on Monday May 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gilead Mennonite Church, 7090, County Road 121, Chesterville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Caanan Mennonite Cemetery, 9380 Amish Road, Plain City, Ohio at 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the church to assist with expenses.
