Anna Marie Stack Hessler, age 95 of Winston – Salem, NC, former longtime Delaware resident, died early Monday morning, February 3, 2003 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston – Salem, NC.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1907 in Delaware to the late Michael J. and Barbara Teufel Stack. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School, Class of 1924. She moved from Delaware to Winston-Salem in 1998 and was a resident of the Brighton Gardens Community in Winston-Salem since 1999.

She worked for 45 years with the General Telephone Company in Delaware and later as a lunch cashier for Delaware Hayes High School.

A longtime member of St. Mary Church, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and a life member of Ind. Pioneer Telephone Association. She enjoyed reading, especially western’s and completing word find puzzles.

Preceded in death by her husband: James D. Hessler on Feb. 17, 1986, Brother: John Stack, Sister: Margaret Collier, Niece: Marilyn J. Igel.

Survived by Nephew : John (Sheila) Stack Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC, Great-nephews: John Stack III, Michael Joseph Stack, Thomas M. Igel, Great-nieces: Colleen (William) McDonough, Kathleen (Brian) Kane, Great-great-nephews & nieces: Ian & Connor McDonough, Mackensie McDonough, Rory Kane.

Friends may call Friday 4-7, prayer services 4:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday 2/8/03 at St. Mary Church, Delaware, Fr Kevin Kavanagh Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Delaware.
