MANSFIELD: Angela P. “Angie” Molnar, age 88, of Mansfield, and formerly of Oregon, passed away Saturday morning November 24, 2012 in Alterra Sterling House of Mansfield.
She was born December 21, 1923 in Dillonvale to Santo and Catherine (Giustina) Della Coletta.
A homemaker and avid seamstress, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, quilting, reading, and water aerobics. A wonderful cook and baker, Angie blended her Italian heritage and her husband’s Hungarian heritage into a legacy of excellent food, served with her special touch of love. Of her many talents and abilities, she was not only quick, but eager to share with others. She had seemingly endless energy, and focused all of her attention selflessly caring for others.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark & Linda Molnar of Mansfield; her daughter and son-in-law Andrea & James Homan of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren Matthew & Julie Homan of Phoenix, AZ, Catherine Molnar of Cincinnati and Carleton Molnar of Northborough, MA; a great granddaughter Alexandra Homan; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Molnar in 1994. Also deceased are an infant son William Albert Molnar; and brothers and a sister-in-law Albert & LaVonne Della Coletta and Andrew Della Coletta.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. Peter’s Catholic Church may be made through the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home.
